Question 1

🍪 How do I make Halloween chocolate chip cookies?

Accepted Answer

🥣 You mix melted butter with both sugars, add the egg and vanilla, stir in flour, salt, and baking soda, then fold in sprinkles and chocolate chips. You pre-scoop and chill the dough before baking and pressing candy eyes into the hot cookies.

Question 2

⏱️ How long should I chill the dough?

Accepted Answer

❄️ You should chill the pre-scooped dough balls for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The cold dough spreads less in the oven.

Question 3

🔥 Can I skip chilling the cookies?

Accepted Answer

⚠️ You should not skip chilling because the cookies can spread into a flat sheet. The chill helps the melted-butter dough hold its shape.

Question 4

👀 When should I add candy eyes?

Accepted Answer

🍬 You should press the candy eyes into the cookies immediately after baking. The hot surface helps the eyes stick.

Question 5

🌈 Can I use different sprinkles?

Accepted Answer

✅ You can use orange and black jimmies or another festive sprinkle mix. The recipe allows you to choose the colors.

Question 6

🍫 Which chocolate chips work best?

Accepted Answer

🍫 Semisweet, milk, and dark chocolate chips all work in this recipe. You can choose the variety that suits your pantry.
