Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese crumbled
  • ¾ cup whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil plus more for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Aleppo pepper or red pepper flakes for garnish
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Pita bread baguette, or fresh veggies, for serving

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Silicone spatula
  • Wide serving bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Break Up the Cheese
You crumble the feta block directly into the food processor bowl. You should avoid pre-crumbled feta because its texture can remain grainy.
  2. Add the Wet Ingredients
You add the Greek yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper. You should not add salt yet because feta already contains plenty.
  3. Blend Until Smooth
You run the food processor for two full minutes. You stop halfway and scrape down the sides.
Ten seconds creates chunky cheese paste, so you should give the machine enough time to transform the mixture.
  4. Garnish and Serve
You scoop the dip into a wide bowl. You use the back of a spoon to make a swirl, then drizzle the surface with olive oil.
You finish the dip with parsley and Aleppo pepper.
