Ingredients

  • 8 oz brie cheese whole wheel of brie cheese
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup pecans chopped
  • ⅓ cup pomegranate seeds

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small saucepan or skillet
  • Cheese knife

Method

  1. Prep the Oven
You preheat the oven to 350°F. You line a small baking dish or baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Soften the Brie
You place the whole Brie wheel on the parchment. You bake it for 15 minutes until the cheese softens.
You should leave the rind intact because the rind helps contain the melted cheese.
  3. Make the Topping
You add the honey, balsamic vinegar, and dried cranberries to a small saucepan. You bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
You reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for one minute until the sauce thickens slightly and the cranberries puff.
  4. Transfer the Brie
You move the warm Brie to a serving dish with a pie server or flat spatula.
  5. Add the Topping
You spoon the warm honey balsamic cranberry sauce over the Brie. You sprinkle the chopped pecans and pomegranate seeds on top.
This baked brie with cranberries and pecans recipe looks best when you serve it immediately.
  6. Serve
You serve the Brie with crackers, baguette slices, apple wedges, or sturdy vegetables.
